Whats involved

1. You will be contacted by the shift leader a day before or on the day, asking for confirmation. Reply: yes or no. Also ask questions, if you have any. 2. Check the address and collection time properly, it is different from bakery to bakery. 3. The amount of bread varies from time to time. Nevertheless, bring a big backpack (or something like IKEA bag) to carry the bread. 4. During collection: only two people should be behind the counter, the rest can wait outside or help with bringing the chairs and tables in or general cleaning of bakery. 5. After collection, help the bakery staff with cleaning. Ask them if they need help with anything. Again, this varies from bakery to bakery. Some bakeries are happy to have us and gladly accept our help, while others prefer us waiting outside and they drop the bread off. So, ASK the bakery staff. 6. Just listen to the instructions of bakery staff, DON’T argue with them. 7. Bread must be carried home and brought to the event next day between 11 AM (earliest) and 12 PM (latest).

Our working groups

Behind the senses the organisation is made up of a range of working groups that tie everything together and ensure the smooth operation of the organisation. Like volunteers for the events we always welcome new people to these groups and if you have a skill set you can contribute to one of them we’d love to have you on board. Find out more below or contact us if you have any questions.
